NEC Toenail Reconstruction

Restore the natural appearance of damaged, discoloured, or missing toenails with the NEC Pro toenail reconstruction system.

What is NEC Toenail Reconstruction?

NEC (Nail Enhancement Composite) Pro is a cosmetic toenail reconstruction system that uses a flexible, medical-grade resin to create a natural-looking prosthetic nail. This treatment is ideal for patients who have lost a toenail, have a damaged or deformed nail, or are looking to improve the cosmetic appearance of a nail affected by trauma or fungal infection.

Unlike acrylic or gel nails, NEC Pro is specifically designed for toenails and is applied by trained chiropodists. The material is durable yet flexible, allowing it to move with the natural nail bed.

Who Can Benefit?

Nails damaged by trauma or injury
Nails affected by fungal infection
Partially or fully removed toenails
Thickened or deformed nails
Nails affected by psoriasis
Cosmetically unsatisfactory nails

The Process

1

Assessment

Your chiropodist examines the nail and surrounding tissue to determine if NEC Pro reconstruction is appropriate for you.

2

Preparation

The nail bed is carefully prepared and cleaned. Any damaged nail tissue is addressed.

3

Application

The NEC Pro resin is sculpted directly onto the nail bed, shaped and contoured to match your natural nail.

4

Finishing

The reconstructed nail is buffed and polished for a natural appearance. The result is a durable, flexible, and cosmetically appealing nail.

Aftercare

The reconstructed nail typically lasts 6–8 weeks and can be maintained with regular appointments. It can be painted with regular nail polish and will not interfere with daily activities, including wearing closed shoes and swimming. Your chiropodist will provide specific care instructions to help the nail last as long as possible.
